Overview
Clive Rosfield is the protagonist of Final Fantasy XVI. He is the firstborn son of the Archduke of Rosaria and is tasked with protecting his younger brother, Joshua, the Dominant of the Phoenix, Eikon of Fire. Clive is a skilled swordsman and is deeply motivated by a desire for revenge after a tragic event shatters his family. Throughout the game, Clive's journey takes him across the continent of Valisthea, where he becomes embroiled in a conflict involving powerful nations and mystical forces. His character development is central to the narrative, as he grapples with themes of duty, loss, and redemption.
