Overview
Tanukichi, known in Japanese as たぬきち, is a recurring character from Doubutsu no Mori (Animal Crossing). He is the tanuki shopkeeper who runs the main store and serves as one of the central supporting characters in the village. Tanukichi is practical, business-minded, and often speaks in a friendly but slightly sly manner. He plays an important role by providing goods, managing the player’s early progress, and helping establish the everyday life and economy of the village.
