Overview
Uruk-hai are a fictional warrior race in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. They are bred for strength, speed, and obedience, and serve as elite soldiers of Saruman and Sauron’s forces. In the film, they play a major antagonistic role as the brutal captors of Merry and Pippin and as a fearsome military threat during the Battle of Helm’s Deep. The term refers to a species or group rather than an individual character, so it does not have a personal first and last name.
