Honest John is a sly, fast-talking fox character from Pinocchio who serves as one of the story’s main tricksters and deceivers. He pretends to be helpful and trustworthy, but in reality he manipulates Pinocchio for his own benefit, often alongside Gideon. His role in the story is to tempt Pinocchio away from the right path, helping drive the moral lessons about honesty, obedience, and the dangers of being easily misled.
