Overview
Dr. Ochanomizu is a major supporting character in Tetsuwan Atom (Astro Boy). He is a kind, brilliant scientist and a paternal figure to Atom, often acting as his guardian, advisor, and advocate for peaceful coexistence between robots and humans. He works to protect robots from discrimination and helps guide Atom through moral and social conflicts. As one of the series’ most important human characters, he represents compassion, scientific responsibility, and hope for harmony between technology and humanity.
