Hei Bomb, known as ボム・ヘイ (Bomu Hei) in Japanese, is a recurring enemy character in the Super Mario series. Often simply referred to as 'Bob-omb' in English localizations, Hei Bomb is a living bomb with wind-up keys, characterized by its round black body, fuse, and feet. It plays the role of an explosive obstacle for Mario and his friends, detonating after a short period or upon contact, adding challenge and excitement throughout the series’ platforming and puzzle stages.
